The Adversary Cycle is a series of seven novels written by American author F. Paul Wilson. The series was originally titled The Nightworld Cycle. John Clute, in his commentary on Wilson's work in The Encyclopedia of Science Fiction, used the term "the Adversary," which Wilson found appealing.
