About “Sherlock Holmes and the miskatonic monstrosities”
It is the spring of 1895, and Dr. John Watson has lost his wife, Mary, while Sherlock Holmes has nearly lost his health after years of battling eldritch entities. When they are called to Bedlam asylum, they find an inmate speaking R'lyehian, the language of the Old Ones. The man is scarred, memoryless, and has no idea how he ended up there. Holmes and Watson learn he was once a scientist from Miskatonic University and one of two survivors of a failed voyage down the Miskatonic River to capture a shoggoth. When the man is taken from Bedlam by unknown forces, the detectives realize the case is far more complex than it seems. To uncover the truth, they must discover what happened during the voyage and who is behind the monstrous events.
