About “The desert spear”

The sun is setting on humanity, and demons rise at night, preying on a shrinking population. Ancient wards offer protection, but legends speak of a Deliverer who once united mankind against the demons. Ahmann Jardir, known as the Shar'Dama Ka, has united desert tribes into an army and claims to be the Deliverer, carrying ancient weapons. He seeks to unite the northern city-states in a war against demons. Meanwhile, the Warded Man, formerly known as Arlen, resists the title but teaches others to face demons with powerful wards. Once friends, Jardir and the Warded Man are now rivals. Others, like healer Leesha and fiddler Rojer, are caught in the conflict. A new, more intelligent demon species emerges, unaware to all involved.
