About “Evil for Evil”

The engineer Ziani Vaatzes designed and built a war that caused thousands of deaths, while civil servant Manuo Psellus made the decision that started it and Duke Valens must decide whether to sacrifice his country to save his people. As their war takes on a life of its own, they find they've become components in a machine whose purpose is to render evil for evil.
