This book is a hardcover collection of Shirow Masamune's original Ghost in the Shell manga, including The Ghost in the Shell (1991), The Ghost in the Shell 1.5: Human-Error Processor (2003), and The Ghost in the Shell 2: Man-Machine Interface (2001). It contains over 800 pages of manga and features a new, exclusive cover by the author. The Ghost in the Shell follows Major Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg agent who investigates cybercriminals and ghost hackers. Human-Error Processor includes four stories about Section 9 agents dealing with technocrime. Man-Machine Interface follows Motoko Aramaki, a cyborg security expert, as she investigates incidents in the real and virtual worlds, while a psychic detective explores changes in the temporal universe. The collection is presented as a special edition for fans.
