About “Children of Heracles”
This 1981 English translation by Taylor and Brooks is an edition and commentary on one of Euripides' less well-known plays, describing the enormous value of the text for understanding Athenian drama, religion, and society. It notes that despite earlier commentaries by Elmsley (1821) and Pearson (1907) and articles by Wilamowitz, the play had not received the attention it deserves; the text used is James Diggle's Oxford Classical Texts edition of 1984.
