About “Rhesos”

An Athenian tragedy transmitted among the plays of Euripides, though its authorship has been disputed since antiquity, challenged from the 17th century onward beginning with Joseph Scaliger, partly on aesthetic grounds and partly on peculiarities of vocabulary, style, and technique. Set during the Trojan War on the night Odysseus and Diomedes sneak into the Trojan camp, the same event narrated in book 10 of Homer's Iliad. A 1978 English translation by Braun.
