Ferragus is an 1833 novel by French author Honoré de Balzac, part of the Scènes de la vie parisienne section of his larger work La Comédie humaine. It is the first in a trilogy known as Histoire des treize, followed by La Duchesse de Langeais and The Girl with the Golden Eyes.
