Le Curé de village is a novel by Honoré de Balzac that first appeared in La Presse in 1839. It was later revised and published as a separate volume in 1841. The story explores themes Balzac had previously addressed in le Médecin de campagne, such as improving rural living conditions and redemption through self-sacrifice.
