The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a remote, ice-covered planet. Kady and Ezra, who have just broken up, are caught in the conflict when their planet is invaded. Forced to flee on an evacuating fleet, they face enemy fire and a pursuing warship. A deadly and mutating plague spreads, the fleet's AI may be hostile, and no one in charge is telling the truth. Kady begins hacking through data to uncover the truth, realizing she needs help from the one person she vowed never to speak to again—Ezra.
