About “The Fuller Memorandum”

The Laundry Files is a series of novels by Charles Stross that combines Lovecraftian horror, spy thriller, science fiction, and workplace humor. The first five novels follow Bob Howard, a former IT consultant who joins the Q-Division of SOE, known as the Laundry, a secret British agency that handles occult threats. In this universe, magic is seen as a form of applied computation, making computers and equations as effective as traditional magical tools. The Laundry works to keep knowledge of the occult hidden from the public. The series includes elements of dark humor and satire of bureaucratic systems. The 2010 novel is part of this series.
