In the third book of the Lunar Chronicles, Cinder and Captain Thorne are on the run with Scarlet and Wolf, working to overthrow Queen Levana and her army. Their plan depends on Cress, a girl who has been trapped on a satellite since childhood and has become a skilled hacker. Cress has been ordered by Levana to find Cinder and Thorne. A risky rescue mission goes wrong, separating the group. Cress gains her freedom but at a great cost.
