About “Hominids”

A novel by Robert J. Sawyer examining two species of people: our own, and the Neanderthals of a parallel world where they became the dominant intelligence, with a civilization of comparable culture and science but radically different history and philosophy. Neanderthal physicist Ponter Boddit accidentally pierces the barrier between worlds and is transferred to our universe, where he is quarantined and studied before being befriended by Canadian geneticist Mary Vaughan, while his partner Adikor Huld faces a murder trial after Ponter's disappearance.
