About “Hybrids”

Hybrids is the third book in Robert J. Sawyer's Neanderthal Paradox trilogy. It follows Ponter Boddit, a Neanderthal physicist from a parallel Earth, and his relationship with Mary Vaughan, a human geneticist. They face challenges as they attempt to have a child together, using banned Neanderthal technology to create a hybrid offspring. Meanwhile, on Mary's Earth, the planet's magnetic field is collapsing, and her superior, Jack Krieger, becomes interested in the Neanderthal world. The story explores the tensions between the two realities and the personal struggles of the main characters.
