About “The Sun and the Star”

Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, has faced many challenges, including the deaths of his mother and sister, being outed, and losing his friend Jason. He finds comfort in his relationship with Will Solace, son of Apollo. However, Nico begins hearing a voice from Tartarus, the deepest part of the Underworld. He believes it is Bob, a reformed Titan who was left behind during a previous escape. Nico's dreams and a prophecy from Rachel Dare suggest Bob is in danger. Despite concerns from Mr. D and Chiron, Nico decides to go on a quest, with Will accompanying him. The journey tests their relationship as they face the dark depths of the Underworld. Nico must also deal with the prophecy's warning that he will have to "leave something of equal value behind." This standalone adventure explores the challenges faced by two beloved characters from the Percy Jackson series.
