About “The Burning Maze”

In the 2018 novel by Rick Riordan, Apollo, once a powerful god, is now a mortal teenager named Lester Papadopoulos after being punished by Zeus. To return to Mount Olympus, Lester must restore five darkened Oracles. He faces this challenge without any godly powers and with the added responsibility of caring for Meg, a daughter of Demeter. With help from demigod friends, Lester completes two trials, one at Camp Half-Blood and another in Indianapolis, where Meg receives a prophecy about an evil group of Roman emperors planning to attack Camp Jupiter. While Leo travels to warn the Roman camp, Lester and Meg enter the Labyrinth to find the third emperor and an Oracle who speaks in riddles. They are joined by a satyr, as Meg knows exactly who to call.
