About “Falling Free”

Leo Graf is a highly efficient engineer who prefers to keep his work neat and according to specifications. His life changes when he is assigned to the Cay Habitat. There, he faces a moral dilemma involving the exploitation of children for corporate profit. After deciding he cannot ignore the situation, he adopts 1000 quaddies and takes on the challenge of teaching them to be free. The story is a 1988 novel by Lois McMaster Bujold.
