About “The Spook's Apprentice”

Old Gregory has served as the Spook for the county, protecting villages from evil for many years. As his time ends, the responsibility of taking over must fall to an apprentice. Twenty-nine others have tried and failed—some ran away, some died. Thomas Ward is the last remaining apprentice and the final hope for the position. He must learn to distinguish between good and evil witches, and he faces the challenge of whether he can follow the Spook's warnings, including those about Alice. A major risk comes if he accidentally releases Mother Malkin, the most dangerous witch in the county. The story follows Thomas as he attempts to take on the role and confront the dangers that come with it.
