It is the thirty-third volume in a series and was first published in July 2016 by St. Martin's Press in hardcover, trade paperback, and ebook formats. A separate trade paperback edition was also released in Britain by Robinson in the same month, with the alternate title The Mammoth Book of Best New SF 29.
