About “Livro do Desassossego”

The Book of Disquiet is a work by Portuguese modernist writer Fernando Pessoa, described as an "autobiography" or "diary" of melancholy observations, aphorisms, and ruminations. Most of it is written under the semi-heteronym Bernardo Soares, an assistant bookkeeper. It was first published in Portuguese in 1982, forty-seven years after Pessoa's death.
