Wetware is a 1988 science fiction novel by Rudy Rucker. It is the second book in his Ware Tetralogy, following Software from 1982 and preceding Freeware from 1997. The novel won the Philip K. Dick Award in 1989, sharing the prize with Four Hundred Billion Stars by Paul J. McAuley. Set in a cyberpunk-inspired world, Wetware explores themes of technology, biology, and human identity.
