About “Crookedstar's Promise”

A perilous promise follows the story of two kits born to RiverClan—Oakkit and Stormkit. Their mother is delighted by their skills and bravery. However, Stormkit suffers a tragic accident that leaves him permanently disfigured. His mother renames him Crookedkit and abandons him. As he grows stronger, Crookedkit dreams of becoming a leader. A mysterious cat appears in his dreams and tells him of a prophecy. She promises him everything he desires if he pledges loyalty to RiverClan. No cat could foresee the terrible consequences of this promise. The novel is part of the Warriors series and is the fourth book in the arc.
