It's been nearly a moon since Alderpaw returned from his quest, which ended without success but with two kits—Twigkit and Violetkit—taken in by ThunderClan and ShadowClan. There is little hope of reuniting the siblings as tensions between the Clans grow due to a new threat. A group of vicious rogues, responsible for driving out SkyClan, has followed Alderpaw's path and may now target ShadowClan.
