About “Bizarro”

Bizarro is an unfinished novel or novella written by Sir Walter Scott in the spring of 1832. It was not published until 2008. Scott wrote the work after coming across the story of the brigand Francesco Moscato, known as "Il Bizarro," during his travels in Italy. He learned the story from an English apothecary living in Italy, whom he regarded as a reliable source. The work was never completed and remained unpublished for many years.
