Mistborn: Shadows of Self is a fantasy novel written by American author Brandon Sanderson. It was published on October 6, 2015, by Tor Books. The book is the second in the Wax and Wayne series and the fifth in the Mistborn series. It follows The Alloy of Law, published in 2011, and precedes The Bands of Mourning, released in 2016.
