About “The Generals”
The Generals is a 2007 novel by Simon Scarrow. Set from 1796, it follows Arthur Wellesley, commander of the 33rd Regiment of Foot sent to India, and Napoleon Bonaparte, commander of the Army of Italy, as both rise to prominence; by 1804 Napoleon has become Emperor and set his sights on conquering Europe, leading toward Wellesley's eventual confrontation with him.
