About “Remembrance”

The Remembrance Day bombing occurred on 8 November 1987 in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, during a Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the town's war memorial. A Provisional Irish Republican Army bomb exploded near the cenotaph, killing eleven people initially, with a twelfth man later dying from injuries sustained in the attack, and injuring 63 others. The IRA stated it had intended to target British soldiers parading to the memorial but had made a mistake.
