About “Trapped in the museum of unnatural history”
When Allegheny Indians murder Regina's father and brother and burn their Pennsylvania home, they take Regina captive while her mother, away from home, remains safe. Torn from her family, Regina is renamed Tskinnak and learns to catch fish, dance the Indian dance, and speak the Indian tongue, gradually building a new life while still wondering if she will ever see her mother again.
