Artemis Fowl and the Last Guardian is the eighth and final novel in Eoin Colfer's Artemis Fowl series. Colfer indicated this was the last book in the series when he referred to the previous novel, The Atlantis Complex, as the penultimate entry. The book was published on 10 July 2012 by Viking Press and Disney Hyperion. It received positive reviews and was awarded the 2012 Senior Irish Children's Book of the Year.
