About “1636: The Devil's Opera”
1636: The Devil's Opera is a stand-alone novel in the alternative history 1632 series, written by David Carrico and Eric Flint and published on October 1, 2013. It is set in a growing industrial city and functions as a semi-detective novel, continuing two story arcs originally published in the electronic versions of the Grantville Gazette. These arcs were later compiled into the collection 1635: Music and Murder, one focusing on criminal investigation and crime fighting, the other on music and social revolution.
