Anthony Horowitz is a prolific British author and screenwriter born in 1955, best known for creating the Alex Rider series of young adult spy thrillers, which has sold over 19 million copies worldwide. Beyond his own creations, he has been commissioned to write official continuations of iconic franchises, including two Sherlock Holmes novels and the James Bond novel Trigger Mortis (2015).
