Atsushi Ōkubo, also known as Atsushi Ohkubo, is a Japanese manga author and fantasy artist. He is best known for creating the manga series Soul Eater, which was adapted into an anime. Ōkubo began his career as an assistant to Rando Ayamine, the author of Get Backers, after meeting him at a manga school. He later won a competition at Square Enix's Gangan magazine with his first manga series, B.Ichi, which was published in four volumes. After completing B.Ichi, he created Soul Eater, also for Gangan magazine, which achieved worldwide recognition. Ōkubo also contributed artwork for the Lord of Vermillion game.
