1 standalone book

Carl Philipp Gottfried (or Gottlieb) von Clausewitz (1 June 1780 – 16 November 1831) was a German-Prussian general and military theorist. He emphasized the psychological and political dimensions of war, focusing on the "moral" aspects of conflict. His most significant work, Vom Kriege (On War), remained unfinished at the time of his death. Clausewitz was a realist in multiple senses and, although he had romantic tendencies, he also incorporated rationalist ideas from the European Enlightenment. He is known for his contributions to military thought and strategy.
