David Malouf

David George Joseph Malouf (1934–2026) was an Australian poet, novelist, short-story writer, playwright and librettist, whose novels include Remembering Babylon. Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in London in 2008, he lectured at both the University of Queensland and the University of Sydney and delivered the 1998 Boyer Lectures.
