Felipe Huaman Puma de Ayala was a Quechua nobleman and Incan scholar who documented the mistreatment of Andean natives under Spanish rule. He is best known for his illustrated chronicle, El primer nueva corónica y buen gobierno, which criticized colonial governance. His work remains a significant historical account of indigenous perspectives during the Spanish conquest of Peru.
