Gjon Buzuku

Gjon Buzuku was an Albanian Catholic priest and a prominent Old Albanian author from the Renaissance. He wrote the first known printed book in Albanian, commonly referred to as the Missal, which is considered an important monument of Albanian studies. Buzuku was also an Albanian translator. He was born in 1499 and died in 1577.
