Ḥabīb ibn Aws al-Ṭā’ī, known as Abū Tammām al-Ta'i, was an Arab Muslim poet from the Abbasid era. He is renowned for compiling the Hamasah, an extensive anthology of Arabic poetry consisting of 10 books and 884 poems. He was born in 804 and died in 845.
