Hannah Glasse

1 standalone book

Hannah Glasse was an English cookery writer who authored The Art of Cookery Made Plain and Easy, published in 1747. This book became the best-selling recipe book of the 18th century and was reprinted within its first year, appearing in 20 editions during the century. She later wrote The Servants' Directory in 1760 and The Compleat Confectioner, which was probably published in the same year. Neither of these works achieved the commercial success of her first book.
