Johannes Linnankoski was a Finnish author and playwright who was active during the Golden Age of Finnish Art. He is best known for his romance novel The Song of the Blood-Red Flower, published in 1905. His work frequently explored themes of guilt, punishment, and redemption. Linnankoski was born in 1869 and died in 1913.
