John Pearson (1930-2021) was a British author best associated with James Bond creator Ian Fleming, whose assistant he was at the London Sunday Times. He went on to write the first biography of Fleming, The Life of Ian Fleming (1966). Pearson also wrote true-crime biographies, including The Profession of Violence, about the rise and fall of the Kray twins.
