Madeleine L'Engle

Madeleine L'Engle (1918–2007) was an American author best known for her Time Quintet, a series of science fantasy novels that begins with the Newbery Medal-winning A Wrinkle in Time. Born in New York City, she blended themes of faith, science, and family across more than sixty books spanning children's literature, poetry, and memoir. Her work has remained a touchstone of speculative fiction for young readers for over six decades.
