Madeline Miller (born 1978) is an American writer born in Boston and raised in New York City and Philadelphia. She earned a BA and MA in Classics from Brown University and has spent ten years teaching and tutoring Latin, Greek, and Shakespeare to high school students. She studied dramaturgy at Yale School of Drama, focusing on adapting classical texts. She lives near Philadelphia; her first novel was The Song of Achilles.
