Mihály Fazekas

Mihály Fazekas (1766–1828) was a Hungarian writer from Debrecen. He served seven years as an army private before being commissioned as a Hussar officer, and pursued botany and poetry as interests. His poetry expressed his aversion to warfare and violence and drew attention to the social injustices of his society.
