Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Munʿim al-Ḥimyarī, also known as al-Himyari, was an Andalusian geographer and jurist active in the 15th century. He wrote Kitâb al-Rawḍ al-miʿṭâr fî khabar al-aqṭâr, a comprehensive geographical dictionary. His work is considered an important contribution to medieval Arabic geographical literature. Al-Ḥimyarī wrote in Arabic and focused on compiling detailed information about regions, places, and geographical knowledge of his time. His writings reflect the intellectual and cultural context of Andalusia during the late Islamic period.
