Muḥammad ibn Muḥammad ibn al-Ḥasan al-Ṭūsī, also known as Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī, was a Persian polymath who lived from 1201 to 1273. He was a scholar of mathematics, astronomy, philosophy, and science, and is recognized for his contributions to trigonometry and planetary motion. Al-Tusi authored works on various subjects, including mathematics, engineering, and mysticism, and is considered one of the greatest scientists of medieval Islam.
