About “Zij-i Ilkhani”
Zīj-i Īlkhānī, also known as the Ilkhanic Tables, is a Zij book that contains astronomical tables describing the movements of planets. It was created by the Muslim astronomer Nasir al-Din al-Tusi, who worked with a team of astronomers at the Maragha observatory. The original text was written in Persian and later translated into Arabic. The work is part of a tradition of medieval astronomical tables used for calculating celestial positions.
