Paulette Jiles-Johnson is an American-born Canadian poet and novelist. She was born in Salem, Missouri, and received her education at the University of Illinois in Spanish literature. She moved to Canada in 1969 and later resides in San Antonio, Texas. She is married to Jim Johnson and has three stepchildren and six grandchildren.
