About “Stormy Weather CD”
The Stoddard family, including Mayme, Jeanine, and Bea, lives a transient life in East Texas during the Great Depression, following their father from town to town in search of work on oil pipelines and derricks. After their mother dies and a questionable accident leaves the family without support, the girls return to their abandoned family farm, where Jeanine attempts to rebuild their lives by investing in a wildcat oil well and relying on her father's legacy, a racehorse named Smoky Joe.
