Saint Clement of Alexandria

1 standalone book

Titus Flavius Clemens, also known as Clement of Alexandria, was a Christian theologian and philosopher who taught at the Catechetical School of Alexandria. He was a convert to Christianity and an educated man familiar with classical Greek philosophy and literature. His works reflect significant influence from Hellenistic philosophy, particularly that of Plato and the Stoics, and suggest familiarity with pre-Christian Jewish esotericism and Gnosticism. He was the teacher of Origen and Alexander of Jerusalem.
