Thomas Clayton Wolfe (1900–1938) was an American novelist and short story writer, known largely for his first novel, Look Homeward, Angel (1929), and for the short fiction published during the last years of his life. One of the pioneers of autobiographical fiction, he is, along with William Faulkner, considered one of the most important authors of the Southern Renaissance within the American literary canon.
